Douglas Corey
1954-2020
Douglas Bradley Corey, 65, of Havelock,
passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in
New Canaan, he was the son of the late Theodore and Geraldine Corey.
Douglas was a heavy equipment operator for Burgess Contracting for
almost 47 years. He always stayed busy doing odd jobs, including
fixing up his old truck. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and
gardening.
Douglas is survived and sadly missed by
his wife, Charlene Corey; step-children, Jami (Mark) Arseneault and
Reginald (Jerrica) Wynes, both of Hillgrove; grandchildren, Kailey,
Mark, Annalise, Elliawna and Reginald; sisters, Lola Corey of
Havelock, Dolly (Leighton) Ryder of Alberta, and Sandra (George)
Killam of Alward Road; brothers, Theodore “Ted” Corey of
Chatham, ON and George Corey of Steeves Settlement; many nieces and
nephews; special pets Agatha and Olive.
Predeceased by sister, Opal Page;
brother, Floyd Corey; brother-in-law, Sam Page and Walter Corey;
sister-in-law, Jocelyn Corey; and special pet, Max.
Due to covid-19 restrictions, a private
family service will be held at Salisbury Funeral Home, (372-4800).
Interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Havelock. If desired
memorials to the Havelock Women’s Institute or the Moncton
SPCA would be appreciated.
