Obituary
James Douglas (Doug) Mitchell – After losing his battle with cancer, Doug passed away on August 4th surrounded by family at the age of 62. He will be deeply missed by his wife Barb and his daughters Crystal (Nate), Amber (Dave), Deanne (Jesse), Tanya, and Naomi (Luc) and his grandchildren Austin, Sierra, Tylor and Sakura. He also leaves behind his sisters Wendy (Kevin), Jamie, Tammy and his brother Steve (Regina). Doug was predeceased by his parents Jim and Muriel and sisters Sandra and Cynthia.
A special thank you to Steve and Regina for all their compassion, care and assistance during his final days. We also wish to thank Dr. Tam, The South East LHIN and HomeCare for all their help. A very sincere & special thank you to Doug Gilmour for taking the time to surprise Doug with a phone call and offer him his well wishes and also to Darryl Sittler for the video he sent to him, it meant a lot to his family.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place with Milestone Funeral Center. A private family remembrance will take place on August 22nd followed by a small Celebration of Life gathering. Please contact the immediate family for more details.
