It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Maude (Ricketts) Nicholas announces her passing. Dorothy passed peacefully away at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home, Corner Brook, NL on Saturday, February 15th, 2020 at the age of 87 years.
Dorothy is predeceased by her first husband – Leslie Ricketts; second husband – Robert Nicholas; daughters – Ivy Ricketts and Judy Ricketts; grandchildren – James Davis and Jody Davis; parents – Thomas & Jane Jacobs and siblings – Ida Jacobs, Susie Rice, Effie Rice and Leslie Jacobs.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories are her children – James Ricketts (Dorothy), Pasadena, NL, Marie Ledoux (Robert), Hubbardston, Massachuettes, USA, Paul Ricketts (Sharon), Corner Brook, NL, Gary Ricketts (Brada), Sop’s Arm, NL and Lillian Davis, Fort McMurray, AB; grandchildren – Laura Ricketts, Rodney Ricketts, Tracy Ricketts, Nicole Ledoux, Rebecca Ledoux, Joey Ledoux, Angela Ricketts, Byron Jones, Mandy Ricketts Wall, Teya Ricketts and Jenna Ricketts; 14 great grandchildren and sister – Cicely Small (Roy) as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Family Visitation will take place at Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
Funeral Service will take place at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Westport, NL on Monday, February 17th, 2020 at 2:00PM. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Westport, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Westport, NL.
