SCHAPANSKY, Mrs. Doris Eleanor
1932 – 2020
Mrs. Doris Eleanor Schapansky passed away peacefully with family at her side on February 5, 2020 at the Craik & District Health Centre in Craik, SK. She was born on November 2, 1932 in Parkside, SK to Peter and Selma Christianson. Doris and Henry were married on May 19, 1956 in Parkside, SK. Together they were blessed with two children. Doris is survived by her two children, Grant (Lynda) of St. Albert AB, Dwight (Dawn) of Moose Jaw SK.; her grandchildren, Krystin (Brad) Nickel, Kent (Grace) Schapansky, Jordan (Rebecca) Schapansky, Sarah (David) Le Nouail, Nicole Schapansky, Stephanie Schapansky (Victor); 2 great grandchildren, Jacob Nickel and Jessica Nickel, her brother Lawrence (Joanna) Christianson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her loving husband, Henry; her parents Peter and Selma Christianson; her sisters Jeanette Christianson, Elna Christianson, Olive (Peter) Nolan, Mae Christianson, Evelyn (Martin) Rask, and brother Clarence (Esther) Christianson. Doris and Henry ministered together as a PAOC clergy couple in many communities throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Parkside Pentecostal Church, Parkside, SK with Pastor Randy Nolan officiating. A viewing time at the church will be available prior to the funeral at 12:30. Graveside interment will follow the funeral service at the Parkside Cemetery.
