It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Doris Halman (Johnston) on Monday May 25, 2020 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Halman.
Loving mother of Richard, Barry (Jackie), Amber (Steve) and Ian (Nancy). Cherished grandmother of Lindsay, Kendra, Jordan, Nick, Charles and Adam. Sister of Ione Senyk, Donald Johnston and the late Diane Ellefson. Daughter of the late Alice (Pratt) and Mervin ‘Slim’ Johnston. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Born in Athabasca, Alberta, Doris left to join the Royal Canadian Air Force followed by a career in the Federal Government. Doris was a kind and caring person, loved children and will be missed dearly. She battled dementia for the last few years of her life but was always respectful and caring to the people around her. Due to the current restrictions services will be held privately. If desired memorial donations made to Save the Children Canada, 4141 Yonge Street, Suite 300, Toronto, ON M2P 2A8 or the Alzheimer Society, 1400 Clyde Ave #222, Nepean, ON K2G 3J2 would be appreciated.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Doris Halman May 25 2020..
