With great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Don (Moon Beam) at the age of 73 years on Saturday, September 12, 2020. He is loving remembered by his wife, Sharon; his children, Don Jr. (Melody) of Mayerthrope, AB., Shane (Kylie) of Surrey Hills, Victoria, Australia, Le-Anna Currie of Lethbridge, AB., Annette Bedard-Fedor (predeceased); his sisters, Pat Lawrence (Ed) and Pam Morgan (Warren, predeceased), Trudy Bolt (Keith, predeceased); brother, Bart of Didsbury; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-granchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and close friends. He was also predeceased by his father, Bill; and mother, Betty.
Don was born and raised in Didsbury until his passing. Don worked at a young age along side his father drilling water wells in the Didsbury area. He then started at the Hartmattan Gas Plant fro Canadian Superior for approximately 35 years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing hockey with the Ramblers and later Old Timmers Hockey. Don loved to camp with his wife and puppies, along with friends and the making of new friends.
Don was a devoted husband, his children and greandchildren brought him great joy. It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that he will be deeply missed. At Don’s request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
