Corkum (Luddington), Dollena Evelyn
Age 84 of Port Bickerton, Guysborough County. It is
with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of
our sweet Mom in High-Crest Sherbrooke Home for Special Care. She was
a daughter of the late Ian and Marguerite (Barss)
Luddington. She entered into the presence of her Lord and
Saviour on Friday April 17, 2020. Dollena was born on June
26, 1935, a beautiful lady who touched the hearts of everyone who had
the privilege of knowing her. Dollena lived for her family and we will
forever miss her kindness, wisdom and unconditional love. She was an
outstanding seamstress; there was nothing she could not do with a
sewing machine and piece of material. Dollena attended the
Calvary Faith Church in Sonora a place she loved to go every Sunday
when she was able to do so. Dollena is survived by her daughters,
Judith (Ralph) Burns, Sonora; Evelyn (Vincent) Jack, Upper
Musquodoboit; grandchildren, Tawnya, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow;
David (Amber) Niagara Falls, Ontario; great-grandchildren, Dollena,
Moncton, New Brunswick; Kayla and Caden, Niagara Falls, Ontario;
brother, Glen (Lorraine), Myers Point, who was like a son; sister,
Freda, Alberta; brother-in-law, Winston, Dartmouth; many nieces,
nephews, great nieces and great nephews and their families, all of
whom were very special to her. She was predeceased by her
husband, Robie; son, Alan; sisters, Verna, Ola; brothers, Ivan and
Perry.Many special thanks to the staff of High-Crest Sherbrooke where
she received such loving and compassionate care. Due to the Covid-19
Pandemic and to comply with the recommendations around social
distancing, the funeral will be postponed; further notice will be
provided when appropriate. Memorial donations can be made to
High-Crest Sherbrooke Home for Special Care. Funeral arrangements are
