On December 10, 2020, Mrs. Diane Kozak of Vilna passed away at the age of 71 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Raymond; 2 daughters & 2 sons, Sheri (Yvon) Belland of Morinville, Elden of Vilna, Cindy (Barry) Cherniwchan & Dean (Dawn) both of Bellis; 8 grandchildren, Celina, Kaila, Mackenzie, Sabrina, Jami, Cassidy, Cody & Caleigh; 1 great-granddaughter, Charlotte; mother, Amy Gillard of Ponoka; 2 brothers, Tim (Cheryl) Gillard of Tees & Ken (Anita) Gillard of Clive; numerous nieces & nephews. Mrs. Kozak was predeceased by her father, Walter Gillard; uncle, Jack Seaville; & auntie, Barb Goddard.
Diane was a Registered Nurse for 48 years, most of her career spent at the Our Lady’s Hospital in Vilna, AB. Diane had many hobbies, they included, sewing, gardening, crocheting/knitting & travelling around the world with family. She loved spending time with her grandkids, and there wasn’t a dance recital, 4-H show or Archery that she wouldn’t attend. Diane’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at the George McDougall Health Centre, Dr. Henrik Lourens, as well as the Smoky Lake Home Care team for their excellent care & compassion shown towards mom. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Mrs. Kozak’s Life will take place at a later date.
