Obituary
Denis Yvon Roy passed away in his 63rd year after a lengthy illness at the North Bay Regional Health Centre March 1, 2020. Denis is survived by his loving wife and partner Lison of 43 years, his children Sébastien, Sabrina and Frédérick (Angele) all of North Bay. Denis leaves behind his grandchildren, Dominik, Kaden, Kenzie, William, Samuel, Alexandria, Brianna and Félix.
Denis was born July 15, 1956 in Hearst, Ontario to Henri-Louis Roy (predeceased) of Courcelles Quebec, and Helen Roy (predeceased) of Petit Rocher, New Brunswick. Denis was the baby of 10 children, Real (predeceased) Geatan (Marie-Anne) of Alma, ON, Marcel (predeceased), Yvette of North Bay, Annette of North Bay, Leo of North Bay, Huguette of Heart, ON, Louise of Hearst ON and Jean-Guy (Predeceased). He left behind many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in law.
Denis wore many hats throughout his life from Son, brother, friend, husband, father, grandfather, baker, painter, builder, inventor, teacher, mentor and many more. Denis had a way of seeing true beauty in everything and everyone despite being blind. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. Thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses (especially William, Angus and Nick) in the emergency room, and D3 wing of the North Bay Regional Health Center for making the last 24 hours of Denis life as comfortable as possible, and offering all the supports and comfort to his family. To all the staff of 3D for his past visit we would like to send a special thank you to his nurses, especially Eve who he loved to banter with. Thank you VON, North East LHIN, and Medigas.
Denis asked that donation be made to the North Bay Regional Health Centre. Services are as follows: Visitation from 2 until 4 on Friday March 6th 2020 with the service to follow at 4pm
