Delbert’s Obituary
Weatherby, Delbert Stewart – 85, Debert, passed away Sunday, November 8th, 2020 in Debert Court. Born in Debert, he was a son of the late George and Sadie (Ferguson) Weatherby. Delbert worked in construction and at many others types of work, he was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed being outdoors whether hunting or working in his vegetable garden. He is survived by son, Eugene; daughters, Barbara (Jane) and Gloria (Fred); grandchildren, Tina, Vanessa, Kyla and Scott; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Kaden; great-great-grandchildren, Bella and Jace; sister, Mae Macdougall; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Percy; brothers, Leroy, Aubrey, Percy and Earl; sisters, Muriel, Violis, Minnie, Myrna and Thelma. The family would like thank the staff of Debert Court for their care given to Delbert in the last few months. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Oxford (902-447-2930). A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 12 in Debert Cemetery, 1099 Middle Road, Debert. For full obituary visit www.mmcfunerals.com.
