Obituary of Debbie Shannon
Shannon, Deborah Ann – passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully after a short battle with lung cancer at the Ottawa General Hospital on Friday, February 14, 2020.
Debbie Shannon of Pembroke, loving mother of Jason, Amanda and Cory (Desiree) St. Amand. Grandma of Megan; Caitlin, Bailee, Madison, Andrew & Liam; and Breanna, Addison & Shelby. Great-grandmother of Keagan, Cameron, Kennedy and 1 more addition on the way. Daughter of the late Mervin & Velva Shannon (nee Goodine). Sister of Denzil Shannon (Kim); Dianne Schizkoske (Gary); and Dennis Shannon (Sandy). Aunt Debbie to many nieces and nephews. Survived by aunt Maureen Turvey (late Jim). Debbie loved and was loved by many, especially dear friends Tim LaCourse, Des Vimm and the late Aggie Bruce.
Debbie’s health has had many ups and downs over the years, yet her humour, generosity and love has been unwavering through it all.
Memorial Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 1:00 until the time of service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Canadian Cancer Society – Wheels of Hope or Rotel would be appreciated.
