Obituary for
David Fredrick Neilson
On July 4, 2020, David Fredrick Neilson of Smoky Lake, AB, formerly of Dashwood, ON, passed away at the age of 69 years.
David is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Brenda; one son, Christopher (Siobhan) Neilson of Red Deer, AB; three daughters, Synthia Neilson of Welland, ON, Kimberly Neilson of Sherwood Park, AB and Kaleena (David) Goruk of Smoky Lake, AB; twelve grandchildren, Kianna, Abrey, Karter, Alexander, Christian, Nicolas, Taylor, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Kamy, Paige and Noelle; aunt, Anna Wissing of London, ON; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Predeceased by his mother, Elfrieda Verda Lee; father, Edward James Neilson; one sister, Norma Jean Rumball; and one brother, James Edward Neilson; all of Dashwood, ON; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his aunt, Martha Fonger and his uncle, Helmuth Messner.
Thank you to Dr. Anton Raubenheimer and the wonderful staff of the Smoky Lake Healthcare Centre for taking such great care of David during his stays. A special thank you to the EMT’s for their service.
