Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Craig Patrick Ross at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Friday June 26, 2020 at the age of 65 years.
Craig was a compassionate and gentle soul. He has now journeyed home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, and has reunited with our parents, Gerald and Gloria Ross, and his brother Timothy. Craig was born in Edmonton on March 1, 1955. He, at a very early age, along with the rest of the Ross family, moved to Calgary. Craig started his early career in the food industry as a short-order cook and moved up to assistant chef for a number of local establishments. He later transferred into the warehousing industry as a shipper receiver and later progressed to warehouse supervisory operations. He happily did this until his retirement.
Craig was known by his friends and family as having a gentle, loving and generous nature. He loved the outdoors, particularly riding his e-bike throughout Calgary’s many parks and he loved all sorts of games, particularly cards. His love of card games came from our father Gerry who taught him “Hudson Bay Rules” at a very early age.
Craig will be dearly missed by all of his siblings, especially his twin Pamela. Craig and Pamela were the second set of twins, as Deborah and Timothy were born three-and-a-half-years before them. Craig was generous and compassionate in everything he did. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Craig will also be missed by his dear friend Steve Bell who has been a loyal and devoted friend. Craig will continue to live in the hearts of his siblings, Jeffrey (Debbie), Deborah, Pamela, Hugh (Leslie O’Donoghue) and Melissa (Sam Kolias). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Samantha (Jonathan Gunn), Hugh, Vanessa, Isabella, Connor and Brendan; and great nieces Grace and Ella.
At Craig’s request, no service will be held.
