Obituary of Corey David Irving Hall-Harnish
It is with broken hearts that we must announce the passing of our much-loved Son
Corey Hall-Harnish
Born on June 10th 1994 at the Grace Maternity Hospital to his proud and excited parents
Everett Hall and Christine Harnish
Corey began his life in Sandy Cove where he enjoyed the beauty of nature- the trees, the beaches, and
his great pleasure of rock picking, panning for Gold, and gardening
He was his Dad’s “Best Buddy” and thoroughly enjoyed all of their outings and adventures.
Corey entered school in the Digby French Emersion program where he stayed until Grade 12 becoming fully
Bilingual.
At a young age he joined the Digby Soccer Team, then on to the the Digby Karate Club for many years and
then joined his many friends on the Digby High School Rugby Team.
Corey had some of his fondest memories while working at Scotia Surveys with his Dad and especially working with
Randy Ryan, Jason Comeau and Roger Comeau. He kept us entertained with stories of the hilarious times they all shared
together, on the road and in the woods and driving with Everett.
Corey was a fun loving, adventurous, guy that was loved by all who’s lives he touched- friends, family, neighbours, &
work mates.
He had a big heart and would do anything to help those special to him.
He had a great wit, loved to laugh and loved to send us lots of jokes and funny stories.
He loved music and playing the guitar- he loved Daniel, Dillin, Jake, Tonya S. and Shelby J. and had many happy times
with these very special friends.
Corey had a very deep love for his wonderful furry friends -Mason, Lulu and Sadie, and couldn’t wait to be home with them again
Corey loved skate boarding, fast Bikes, 4Wheelers- the adrenalin rush of speed and the freedom he felt on wheels.
When there was a storm, he had to be out in it, usually with his Mom’s Pathfinder.
Corey had a very special bond with and a great love for his sister Kristen Harnish-VanTassel. He thought she was the
greatest Mom who had brought up 4 amazing boys – Corey’s nephews- who he loved deeply-Noah, Ryan, Kyle and
Cole VanTassel
Corey also grew up with his Nephews/buddies Jacob Sollows and Chad Thorburn
He also loved his Sisters Wendy Hall/Sollows (Scott), Trudy Hall/Veinot and Brother Tony Hall and Nephew Brett.
Corey was especially happy to have had the recent opportunity to enjoy lobster and scallop dinners with his Dad and Carthal – a very special time for all.
Corey’s wish was to be together again with his friend Keith Trimper, his cousin Kyle Theriault, and his very special Uncle Rickey and the Harnish boys that have all passed on.
Corey had a special place in the hearts of his Aunts and Uncles- Diana/Regan, Lynn/Carmen, Lisa, Kathy, Shirley, Barb, Betty, Pauline and numerous Cousins
Our hearts were shattered on August 6th, 2020 when Corey’s heart failed him……
Somehow, we must go on without him, be strong for one another and always remember Corey in our hearts and minds –
He wouldn’t want us to be sad but live our lives to the fullest, not to be judged but loved for who we are.
A special remembrance service of Corey will be held at his favorite spot – the Bay Fundy beach in Sandy Cove -in the evening of
August …29th ……..@……. 6:00 pm
Donations to the Fundy YMCA would be appreciated
or the Crosbie House in New Minas- in memory of Corey
Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Digby, B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
