February 19, 1919 – April 26, 2020
Jean Corcoran was born Muriel Jean MacDonald in La Salle, Ontario on February 19, 1919. Her parents were Eldia Trembley and Daniel MacDonald.
She married Vincent William Corcoran on October 20, 1941 in her home parish of Sacred Heart.
At some point during World War II, she moved to Ottawa and worked in the British High Commission. This move was to be closer to her husband who was stationed with the RCAF at Uplands. However, most of their married life was spent in Toronto area.
Aunt Jean was a loving, mother-like figure within her extended family. She was always present for the happy and not-so-happy family occasions-doing what she could to help.
Her Catholic faith was very precious to her. She and her husband were long-time members of Canadian Martyrs Church and in later years, Our Lady of Fatima Shrine in Scarborough, ON.
She was predeceased by her husband and her two brothers: John (Jack) of Miami, Florida and Daniel of Windsor, Ontario.
She will be deeply missed by her numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Due to the current pandemic, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Corcoran
