Constance Rebekah “Becky” Amy Brown
1943-2020
The passing of Constance Rebekah “Becky” Amy Brown, wife of
the late Clayton Lockhart Brown, occurred unexpectedly at the Saint
John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on August 15, 2020. Born in East
Amherst NS on June 6, 1943, she was a biological daughter of the late
Harold and Emma (Snider) Bradley and was raised and loved by Stanley
and Marguerite (Hawkins) Spinney. A loving mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and sister, Becky is survived by three daughters:
Krista (Kyle) Beaudry of Breadalbane NB, Tina (Bobby) McCullough of
Bocabec NB and Lisa (Douglas) Stuart of Pennfield NB; her
grandchildren: Joey Stuart, Amie Solomon, Evan Beaudry, Lyndsi Brown,
Jazmyn Hill and Sarah Hill; 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way;
honorary daughter, helper and friend: Lesley Cusack of Pennfield NB;
brothers: David (Beth) Hatt of Utopia NB and Wilfred (Cathy) Bradley
of Barnesville NB; sisters: Lenora Wellman of Quebec, Dorothea
McLaughlin of Saint John NB and Kelly; several nieces, nephews and
cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Becky was predeceased
by one daughter: Katrina; two great-grandchildren: Carter and Adriana;
sisters: Viola Taylor and Rowena Bradley; brothers: James, Ansley,
Robert and Harold Bradley.
Becky was born into a large family and from that moment on that is
what she wanted, to be surrounded by family and friends. Labour day
weekend was a special time for her as she always had a big pot luck
& BBQ for her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and all
their families. In her younger years, she worked in several areas,
including waitressing and in the factory, but when she married Clayton
she became a homemaker and stay at home mother and focused all her
time on her girls, they always came first. Becky loved to dance and
passed that on to her children, she even became an assistant to Susan
Arsenault so her girls could have dance lessons in Susan’s classes. In
the fall she always helped her dad, Stanley, with blueberry season,
her knack for numbers was always a big help to him and she loved
spending that time with him. She will be greatly missed by her girls,
grandchildren and all who knew her.
