COLLINS Austin John August 12 2020

It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our brother, uncle, and son, Austin John Collins of Edmonton, Alberta, formerly of Fort McMurray, on August 12, 2020 at the age of 45.
He was predeceased by his mother Nancy Collins in 2003. Austin is survived by his father Fred Collins, of St. John’s Newfoundland. He also leaves behind, and will be greatly missed by, his brothers Frederick (Cheryl) and Dionne; and he will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephew, Angel (Colin) Auchinleck, Cole Keels-Collins, and Alexandra Chimko-Collins.
Austin was born in Gander, Newfoundland, where he spent his pre-school years with family in Hare Bay, until they moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta. In his adult years he moved to Edmonton, where he became an active member of Construction and General Workers Union Local No. 92. On his down time, he enjoyed going to numerous car shows with his brother and nephew. As his nephew notes, ‘he liked both his cars and music, loud and old.’
As per Austin’s wishes no service will be held. Cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest with his mother in Fort McMurray at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Austin, to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of COLLINS Austin John August 12 2020..
