Colin “Dukie”‘s Obituary
WESTVILLE – Colin Bernard “Dukie” Coady Jr., 65, Westville, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 16, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Colin Bernard “Duke” Sr. and Edith Cavelle (Oliver) Coady. Colin was employed with Michelin Tire, Granton for 33 years. Following, he was employed part-time with Canadian Tire and Home Hardware. Colin enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed lending a helping hand when ever possible. Colin dearly loved his wife, daughter and his little “Bubbie”, Wyatt.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Joanne (Morrison); daughter, Shannon, New Glasgow; grandson, Wyatt; son-in-law, Will, Abercrombie; sisters, Colleen, Stillwater; Lynda (Barry), Stillwater; brother, Derrick “Duke” (Bonnie), Coalburn; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Marjorie Coady.
In honour of Colin’s wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately.

Joanne and Shannon deeply appreciate the excellent care Colin received during the past month from Dr. Tom Park, Dr. Anne Kwasnik, Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit staff and the Pictou County Victorian Order of Nurses who provided home care.
