Clissie’s Obituary
GOODWIN, Clissie Louise – 85, formerly of Clark’s Harbour, passed away in The Meadows, Yarmouth, on May 30, 2020. Born October 13, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Sheldon and Ruth (Quinlan) Ross. Clissie was a crafty person and wasn’t afraid of hard work. She enjoyed cooking, camping and blue grass music. Her New Years dinners, and holidays in general, were her favourite as she got to pack her home full of family. She was a wonderful grandmother that loved each of her grandchildren and while there were many she made each of them feel special. She is survived by her children, Lillian, Louise (Rickey), Valerie (Warren), Delbert (Gale), Layton, Thomas (Ann); siblings, Esther, Deborah, Gladys, Ira; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased her husband, Robie; son, Leigh; and granddaughter, Michelle. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Barrington. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Island and Barrington Fire Department.
