Obituary of Clifford Albert Jones
JONES – Clifford Albert
Aug 30 1938 – March 24 2020
Peacefully in his sleep at Hardy Terrace Long Term Care Home in Mount Pleasant in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Sheila (nee Grey) for 57 years, Dad of Cliff, Matt, Beth and Bill Syvret, Naomi Lamond and Amy and Michael Bradley. Papa to Leah and Kyle Bryden, Chloe Lamond, Zoey and Derek Heltner, Tom Syvret, Bronte Jones, John Syvret and Jack Bradley. Great-papa to Hudson Heltner. Big brother to Bev and Don Leslie and Jan and Dave MacDonald. Cliff spent most of his life on a small apple farm just north of the village of St George. Maple Grove Orchards was his escape from his teaching career. The majority of his time as an educator was spent in molding the minds of teenagers at North Park Collegiate in Brantford. As an active member of the community, he was a long time member of the St George United Church and when he was able, there was rarely a function or committee that did not have his hand in it. Supporting a family of five children while raising a barn full of cows, goats, ponies, ducks and chickens as well as growing apples to feed the masses, he always seemed to enjoy his busy life. A respectful and kind man is how he will be remembered. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road N. Brantford. Celebration of Clifford’s life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in memory of Clifford to the St. George United Church Building Fund.
