Clifford Allen Ritchie of Parkhill, passed away peacefully, May 20, 2020, one day short of his 90th birthday at Chartwell Long Term Care in Parkhill. Clifford was born May 21, 1930 to the late William and Viola Ritchie. He spent his life farming with his wife Velma (nee Hughes, 2006) and their three sons north of Parkhill.
Clifford will be forever remembered by his sons Glen (Carolyn Gatecliff), Dwayne and Mona, and Bev and Marilyn. Lovingly remembered by his siblings Joan and Jack(d) Eagleson, Clare(d) and Eleanor Ritchie, Sandra(d) and Dave(d) Green, Sonia and Wayne Greb. A special grandpa to Joe, Christine (Adam), Brent (Stephanie), David (Jody), Mark (Leanne), Lee (Laura), Angela (Shawn), Jennifer (Paul), and Bill (Katherine) and great-grandpa to 19 great-grandchildren. Cliff will be fondly remembered by in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
Clifford’s main focus in life was farming. After retiring from farming Clifford spent many years delivering mail, camping, and volunteering with Meals on Wheels. Clifford enjoyed spending time at the farm, a good game of euchre, and would never turn down a good piece of pie. Although he was a man of few words, his legacy lives on through his family. A private family graveside service will take place, although the service is private, we would ask that you join in the service from the comfort of your home at www.GilpinFuneralChapel.com any time after 2pm on Saturday, May 23, 2020. Funeral services are entrusted to M.Box & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations to Chartwell Gardens Memorial Fund Parkhill would be appreciated.
