Christopher Anthony Purdy
59, of Dartmouth passed away in Dartmouth General Hospital on December 16th, 2020.
Born on February 15th, 1961 in Roseway Hospital, Sandy Point as the youngest child of the late Julius and Myrtle Purdy, Port La Tour, Shelburne County. Chris battled glioblastoma for more than a year.
Chris graduated from Barrington Municipal High School and then worked at the same place for over 40 years in Dartmouth. He was a natural artist, and we have many of his paintings to enjoy.
Chris was predeceased by his parents, his son Christopher Jr.,niece Jennafer Purdy, and brother-in-law Howard Siteman. He is survived by his partner, Karen Atkinson; son Matthew; sisters, Judith Siteman, Candace Agnew (Greg); brothers, J. Malcolm Purdy and Rev. John Purdy (Laura); 6 nieces, 2 great nieces, and 2 great nephews.
Chris was a tissue donor. His graveside service will be held in the spring of 2021. Donations can go to the Brain Tumour Research Fund, QEII Foundation, 5657 Spring Garden Road, Parklane Mall, Suite 3005. Hfx. B3J 3R4.
