Christina Ann Marie Romkey
1966-2020
Christina Ann Marie Romkey – age 54,
passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at home. Born in Halifax,
she was a daughter of Wayne Joseph and Claudette Florence (Horne)
Smith, Eastern Passage. She is survived by her soulmate and husband of
33 years, Derrick; daughter, Kimberly (Robert) Roy, granddaughter and
the apple of Nannie’s eye, Presley Kate Rosemarie Roy, Port
Mouton; siblings, Charlene (Roger) Stoddard, Quispamsis, NB, Michelle
(Lyle) Hicks, Eastern Passage, Cory (Barb) Smith, Ottawa, ON;
mother-in-law, Joan Romkey, Coldbrook; sister-in-law, Colleen Romkey
(Tom Whitman), Coldbrook; best friend, Helen “Suse”
(Bobby) Nowe, Cow Bay, and their children, Ashley (Todd) Howe and Kyle
(Johnica) Nowe; honorary grandchildren, Jackson, Parker, Charlie, Addy
and Kammie, who all called her “Nannie Squishie”;
lifelong friend, Marilyn (Lynwood) Thompson, New Minas; many nieces,
nephews, cousins and extended family. She was predeceased by her
maternal grandparents, Norah and Gilbert Horne; and father-in-law,
Gary Romkey. Cremation has taken place and there will be no
visitation. A private celebration of life will be held in the White
Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Interment will take place in the
Woodlawn Cemetery, Dartmouth. Donations in memory may be made to the
Children’s Wish Foundation or the Valley Hospice Foundation.

Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
