Cheryl Marud 2020 avis de deces

June 16, 1961 – June 17, 2020
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Cheryl Marud on June 17, 2020 surrounded by family at home in Saskatoon. Cheryl was born to Fred & Vi Marud in Prince Albert, SK. She was one of 9 children and shared many warm memories from her childhood. She left home in her late teens, moving to Moose Jaw where she met Rob Ames and the two had twin daughters Michelle and Melissa. Sadly, Rob passed away two years later. In 1989, came the birth of her son Benjamin.
Her and her children moved to Saskatoon in 1994 where she completed her education which was a lifelong goal. She eventually returned to the restaurant industry where she loved working both as a cook and server. She worked hard, excelling in her work and enjoyed visiting and helping customers. She dreamed of her own small restaurant and would often describe exactly how it would be. Recent years took her to Alberta and before she was ill, she had a lovely life full of happiness in Whitecourt with her partner Nick.
She was a fierce mama bear, no one messed with her children. She loved with her entire heart and if you were loved by her you knew it. Loyal, funny, charismatic, she stood out in a crowd even though she was small. We teased her that she could be grumpy and joyful in the same minute. She was friendly and welcoming. Her laugh made you laugh. A caring friend, a favourite sister and a devoted daughter. Cheryl loved each of her siblings immensely and had special relationships with her neices, nephews and cousins. She had a way of making others feel good about themselves and she was her children and grandchildren’s greatest cheerleader.
Her house was beautifully decorated and was never messy even when her children were small. Never. Her garden always beautiful, filled with colourful flowers including her beloved carnations. She loved music and was the best cook and baker, with pies being among her many specialities.
She loved being a Grandma. She was excited to hear of all their adventures, enjoyed playing and baking with them and making them giggle.
Life was never easy, often facing challenges and heart ache but she seemed to always find a way to overcome them, even when it seemed impossible. Sadly, some obstacles are too great, even for someone of her strength.
Our hearts will never be unbroken and we will miss her every day. She is forever loved by her children Michelle Marud, Melissa (Kevin) Tysowski and Benjamin Bonsan. Grandchildren Ali, Troy, Brigitte and Paige Tysowski and Josh Marud. Father Fred Marud and siblings Mel (Carolyn), Wanda (Gord), Audrey, Michael (Hilda), Kelly (Mike), James (Tracey), Pat (Carmen), Donna (Wayde) as well as her neices, nephews and cousins. Her partner Nick, his daughter Christy and many friends. The Ames family and of course her beloved cat. She was predeceased by her first love Rob Ames and her mother Vi.
A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Cheryl Marud 2020..
