Forrest, Cheryl Lynn, 55, of Clementsport, passed away, October 1,2020 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Digby, October 30,1964, she was the only child to the late David and Carol (Ellis) VanTassell. Cheryl was kind and giving with a heart of gold. Her faith and courage helped her endure. Cheryl worked at the Digby tourist bureaux for 24 years before taking critically ill in 2019. She was an avid volunteer for many years as Chair of Digby Scallops Days, and also volunteered with Brownies and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #122 Clementsport. Some of Cheryl’s favourite times were when she was with her grandchildren ,who she loved dearly. In her spare time, Cheryl was a talented knitter and crafter and enjoyed gifting many beautiful creations to family and friends. Cheryl had a passion for photography, loved to take road trips and spending as much time near the ocean as possible. She is survived by her loving husband, Glen Forrest of 39 years; daughters, Jennifer (Scott Hill), Weymouth; Jesseka (Justin Wiles), Middleton; grandchildren, Konrad; Sadie and Dakota. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. No service details at this time.
