Obituary
Charles (Charlie) Shapcott went to join the love of his life Lois (Priddle)(2017) on November 29, 2020.
Born November 4, 1929 in Midland, Ontario, the son of a shipyard worker. Later moving to Collingwood where he met & Married Lois Jean Priddle. Shortly after the birth of their first daughter, Cathy (Insley), they moved to Barrie, Ontario where he worked for A & P until he was hurt in a workplace accident. While recovering he took an interest in TV Repair and eventually purchased Barrie Electronics until they sold to Westinghouse in the early 70′. In 1974, they moved to Muskoka where he became an electrician running Shapcott Electric until retiring in 2000. Not one to sit still, he took up woodworking as a hobby making oak furniture for family and friends. His last project was completed in September.
He is survived by his sister Isabelle Daniels of Collingwood along with nieces and nephews. His daughters Cathy & Bruce Insley and Susan & Bob Cunningham. Grandkids Braden Insley, Jillian Insley, Cheryl Cunningham, Coral & Colin Brush, Rob Cunningham (Jill Cole). And Great grandkids Katie, Isabella, Logan, Jared & Wyatt.
A service will be held in the spring in Baderjos, Ontario. In leau of flowers, donations to the OSPCA or The RVH Foundation is appreciated
