Pitman, Charles Ronald (Ron) –89, Passed away at home July 31, Born in Brooklyn March 9 1931 to the late Earnest and Rita (Cosman) Pitman. He worked 25 years for superior ice cream as a truck driver as well as with Lyons of Arcadia and Dominion Textle. He was an avid hunter and sport fishmen and played on many bowling leagues, as well as baseball in his younger years. He is survived by his second wife Jennie (Deveau) Pitman, sons Ted and (Leah) Pitman, Mark (Mary) Pitman and Ernie (Jackie) Pitman. Step children Vera Brantnail Poters lake, Ellen and (Donnie) Surette, Rita Tyler St. John, Stanley (Connie)Doucette, Michael (Kelly) Doucette Ontario. 8 Grandchildren 13 Great grand Children and 25 step great grand children. Charles was predeceased by Parents Ernest and Rita (Cosman) Pitman, first wife Kathleen Seely 3 stepsons David, Ray and Wayne Hurlburt, as well as 2 step grand children. Arrangements are under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth where a visitation will take place for family and friends on Monday evening, August 3 from 6-8 p.m. a Memorial Service will take place at Huskilson’s funeral home Yarmouth,on Tuesday, August 4 at 11:00 am with Pastor David Hockley officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army in Charles memory. Also, please note that immediate family will be given priority for seating.
