Charles “Junior”‘s Obituary
SHERMAN, Charles Stanley “Junior” – age 80, Villa St-Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton, formerly of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2020 at the Villa. Born in Yarmouth, Junior grew up on the Tinpot Road and went on to work as a truck driver for Thompson’s Transfer. An amateur archaeologist, he enjoyed digging for old arrowheads in Chegoggin with Nate Bain, and he also enjoyed hunting. He is survived by three sons, Billy (Stephanie), Lakeside Road; Tom (Robin), Chegoggin and Danny (Terralee), Yarmouth, as well as by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Clyde (Carol), Brazil Lake; Ronnie, Ontario; Paul, Yarmouth; Billy, Yarmouth Co.; sisters, Patsy Sherman (John), Pleasant Valley; Hazel Mullen and Shirley Sherman, both of Yarmouth. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Robyn C. (Thompson) Sherman, as well as by a brother, Richard “Dicky” and sisters, Helen Pothier, Betty Ringer and Joan Platt. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth, and there will be no visitation or memorial service.
