Celerina Tolentino Castro, age 85, passed away peacefully December 14, 2020 in Edmonton, Ab. Due to covid complications.
She was born on February 3, 1935 in Manila, Philippines to Laura Tolentino Castro and Tito Castro.
Celerina is survived by her three sisters Flordeliza, Alicia, and Elsie; her four children two sons Ramoncito, Romeo, and two daughters Riecel, and Cherica; her numerous nieces and nephews; her ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren with one on the way. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
Celerina liked to spread love to others. Even if you’ve done her wrong she was quick to forgive. Her life was a living example of a favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
She loved life and was a hard worker who took pride in her work, and instilled the hard work on to her children.
Her kind heart, love for music, singing and dancing is what she’ll be most remembered for. She shared this love with her children and grandchildren often. She would never let up the chance to move her dancing feet on any given Sunday at the seniors association.
Celerina was a dedicated mother and mentor first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went, and for this she will forever be remembered.
