Catherine “Cathy” A. Straight
Catherine A. Straight,76, of Moncton, passed away peacefully
within the comforts of her home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Born
in Hillsborough, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Florence
Shirley (Rose) Terris.
Cathy worked for 43 years in the nursing industry at The
Moncton Hospital, in bedside care and nursing management. She enjoyed,
reading, travelling, cooking, crossword puzzles and sudoku, and
precious time she got to spend with her family and many
friends.
Cathy will be sadly missed by her husband, Stuart Estabrooks;
daughters, Leah Straight (Daniel DeRoches) and Allison Straight
(Steven Austin); grandchildren, Jacob Leaman (Rebecca), Joel Leaman
(Jolene Vautour) and Calysta Mason; great grandchildren, Jedd and
Thomas Leaman; sister, Rosemary Terris (Paul Gaudet); and her extended
family.
In addition to her parents, Cathy was predeceased by her
first husband, Robert Straight (1990).
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday, January 4, 2021, from
1:00 to 3:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. COVID-19 restrictions will be in
place and masks are mandatory.
In memory of Cathy, donations to The Friends of the Moncton
Hospital or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Online
