On 21st of December Stephen Casey, Former Professor of Classics at Concordia University, passed away at the age of 94. He will be profoundly mourned by his beloved wife Emilia and by his children Olivia and Hadrian and their spouses Scott and Maryse and by his grandchildren Charles, Laetitia, Ella, Quentin, Conrad, Adam, Violet without whose unfailing help this difficult 8 year journey would have been impossible. Also mourned by his niece Maria and her children, Michael and Steve. A special thank you to Ric, Letizia’s beloved partner of 30 years for his constant kindness and friendship. Another immense thank you to Ness for her constant friendship and support. And another thank you to Monica for her friendship and drives by the ocean and to see the deer in the fields. Thank you as well to all Stephen’s nieces and nephews for their love and support. Due to Pandemic no visitation, private funeral family only.
Stephen your gentleness, goodness and dignity will be a beacon to all of us forever.

  1. Steve was a respected teacher, colleague and model. We only met a few times after he left the Jesuits, but he was always immensely courteous. Condolences to the family and all who grieve his passing. I have offered Mass for his eternal repose and the consolation of the family. R.I.P.
