Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Carol Patricia Ferris which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 21st, 2020. Born 1963, in Saint John, she is the daughter of Melvine (Harquail) and the late Frederick Ferris. Carol worked as an LPN for St. John St. Stephen Nursing Home. She enjoyed painting and adored all animals, especially birds. She loved to go fishing with her grandson Jayden and she cherished every moment spent with her family and friends.
Along with her mother, Carol is survived by her son David Ferris (Dawn) of Garnett Settlement; brothers Jimmy Ferris (Dorothy) of Kitchener, ON., Brian Ferris (Pam) of Saint John, George Ferris (Barb) of Newcastle; sisters Cindy Valliant of Willow Grove, Brenda Thomas (the late Mike) of Willow Grove; grandchildren Jayden and Olivia; special friend Gilbert Janes; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her father, Carol was predeceased by her brother-in-law Mike Harnish.
A special thank you to Carol’s home care workers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Friday, July 24th at 3 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Carol may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, SPCA-Animal Rescue or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
