Shediac Bridge, NB – Blair Poirier, 78, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L-. Dumont University Hospital Centre, on Wednesday, August 26th, 2020.
Born in Shediac Bridge, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Olive Poirier (born Caissie).
Blair was a selfless man, who was always ready to help his family, friends or anyone in need. Blair have been working for himself as a plumber all his life.
Blair will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 58 years of marriage, Géraldine Poirier (born Landry) of Shediac Bridge; his son, Guy Poirier (Ginette) of Cocagne; two brothers, Adrien Poirier (Diane) of Scoudouc and Norbert Poirier (Gisèle) of Ste-Justine, QC; two sisters, Christine Doiron (late Gérald) and Noëlla LeBlanc (Hervé) both of Shediac Bridge; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Blair was predeceased by his son, Rhéal (Brigitte); his daughter, Louise; five brothers, Léonce, Normand, Amand ( Edna) Donald and Camille; and by four sisters, Rita Dorina, Amanda and Léola.
Visitations will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge, on Monday, August 31st, 2020 from 7pm to 9pm and on Tuesday September 1st 2020 from 9am until time of the Celebration of his life at the Chapel at 11am.
Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society, masses for La Visitation RC Church or to a charity of your choice.
