Bill’s Obituary
Park, William “Bill” B. – 62, Oxford, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Springhill, Bill was a son of the late Carmen and Marion (Terris) Park. Over the years, Bill owned and operated many businesses, including The Lady Wentworth, Enfield Big Stop, and most recently Pizza Delight in Amherst. Bill was elected and served as mayor for the Town of Oxford in the 80’s and early 90’s and also later served as a member of town council. He was always active in the community and was a great supporter of local sporting teams having sponsored many uniforms over the years. He is survived by his sister, Vivian (George) France, Oxford; brothers, Leslie Park (Karen Blondeau), Dartmouth; Tim (Judy) Park, Lower Sackville; Milton (Dawn) Terris, Leicester; sister-in-law, Nancy Park, Amherst; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Bill was predeceased by his brother, John “Ferdie” Park. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Oxford (902-447-2930).
