Mayne (nee Affleck). Predeceased by his sister Janice Mayne and
brother Alan Mayne. Also survived by many nieces and nephews,
and countless cousins.
Barry absolutely loved his farm and farming. Those that knew
him loved his quick and clever comments, his practical approach and no
non-sense attitude. He was very active in the community and with his
children, not only being very engaged as a young dad and coaching the
highest levels in midget and senior hockey on PEI during his younger
years, he was actively engaged in leadership positions in local
environmental groups and countless volunteering roles helping run
community festivals. He will be greatly missed by the many people in
Prince and Queens County that knew him well in the farming community,
the minor sport community and for those craving a good joke
– he was a master class at the latter.
