Barrie was a man who enjoyed life, work and a good meal. Preferably in that order. He enjoyed the outdoors and nature’s bounty and was often found enjoying them at the lake, garden or berry patch. When that was all done, dancing was sure to follow. From an early age he was a driver and truly enjoyed the rest of his life in the profession. No task was ever too great for Barrie. He always enjoyed a challenge he could resolve. He lived in a number of different communities and enjoyed all the many wonderful people he met in Gillam, Grand Rapids, MacGregor, Winnipeg, Loon River, Chestermere, Portage la Prairie, Peace River.
Cremation has taken place and providing COVID allows, a memorial honoring his life will be held this summer in Portage la Prairie. We will forever remember Barrie by his favorite dance tune “Waltz of the Leaves” by Graham Townsend.
He has been granted eternal rest and his soul is at peace.
