Obituary of Ataollah Maghami
With great sadness and appreciation for a life lived with laughter and love, the family of Ataollah Maghami announces his sudden passing. Born to Abdul Rahim and Khubi Maghami on April 25, 1933, he lived a long and full life and will be dearly missed.
Ataollah was full of life and joy. He doted on his children and grandchildren and persevered to provide for them in the face of religious persecution and discrimination. He had strong belief in Baha’i fatih. The majority of his life was spent in Iran where his jokes and dance moves made him very popular at dinner parties. He was also a great lover of food; he both loved to cook, single-handedly catering elaborate kabob and rice dishes for major family events and enjoyed a good meal with the company of his nearest and dearest. Since immigrating to Canada to live with his daughters in 2014, Ataollah called Saint John and Canada home. He made many friends in the community with his bold forays into practicing English with anyone and everyone and was a proud new Canadian.
Ataollah will be remembered by his wife, daughters, grandchildren and extended family from around the world.
A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1:30 PM.
