Obituary
Marion, Arthur
1928-2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Art Marion. Dad is lovingly remembered by his son Bryon Marion (Lisa Hoskins), daughter Connie Camponi (Marty Camponi), grandson Chris Camponi (Michela Camponi), granddaughter Danielle Camponi (Joshua Morris), and great-grandson Maverick Camponi. He will also be missed by his sister Aurore Sanche, and many family and friends. Art is now resting eternally with his wife Geraldine, his daughter Lorie, and numerous family members who have passed before him. Dad was a farmer, soldier, tradesman, and overall hard-working man who loved to dance. He was a generous, humble, loving, and considerate husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. A strong Catholic faith was shown through many volunteer hours spent at St. Paul’s Cathedral and countless hours in prayer. Courageously serving his country in the Korean War was one of Art’s greatest honours. Later in life, he took pride in volunteering with the Korean Veterans Association. Thank you to those who provided care for dad as he fought his battle with dementia. With gratitude, we thank the health care professionals at RUH for treating him with respect and dignity in his final hours. Your kindness will not be forgotten. You are at peace now Dad, fond memories will stay in our hearts forever. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, he will be laid to rest in a private family gathering at a later date.
