Obituary of Anne Ruby Andrew
ANDREW, Anne Ruby-age 74 of Elmsdale passed away with her family by her side on November 24, 2020 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Jessie (Weir) Grant.
Anne married her husband, Jack in 1965 and together they raised their 2 children, Denise and Grant. In the early years of family life, they enjoyed spending time at their cottage and going to Clam Harbour Beach. Later on, Anne loved to spend her days with her family at the lake. Throughout the years, Anne looked forward to attending the dances every weekend in Nine Mile River Hall with Jack.
Anne is survived by her husband, John “Jack”; daughter, Denise (Brian) Jarvis; son, Grant; grandchildren, Jacob and Olivia Andrew, Aleksander Jarvis; sisters, Lorna Thompson, Avis Gravelle, Doris Grant, Brenda (Jeff) White; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by her brothers, George, Earle, Philip, Clifford and Laurie.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A private graveside service will be held 2pm Wednesday, December 2nd in East Gore Cemetery. COVID-19 provincial regulations must be adhered to. Mask are required. Please respect social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory may be made by cheque to the East Gore Cemetery, c/o Mark Dalrymple, 901 Slate Quarry Road, East Gore, NS B2S 2Z9.
