1944-2020 Ann Barbara Storey (née Jordan) of Doaktown, N.B. passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on August 25, 2020. Ann was the daughter of the late Murray Jordan and Eliza (Bamford) Jordan. She recently celebrated 55 years of marriage to the love of her life, Washburn Storey.
Ann will be sadly missed by her children, Cheryl (Peter McDonald) of Fredericton, Christopher (Carol) of Doaktown; brothers Robert (Audrey) of Truro, N.S. and Donald (Joyce) of Melbourne, Aus. and her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she dearly loved.
Ann was an educator for over thirty years. She loved to quilt and made many quilts for her children and grandchildren that they lovingly use at the family cabin. An accomplished gardener, Ann was forever picking up plants to bring home for her flower garden. She had a green thumb like her father. A music lover, Ann traveled to many piano recitals for her grandchildren Anna and Alexander and enjoyed the Harvest Jazz Festival many times. Ann was an avid bridge player and developed strong friendships in her bridge group. Ann loved to travel and visited many places from New York to California to Australia. When travel became difficult due to her health she continued to read and immersed herself in watching the Miramichi River. She had many dear friends, especially her fur friend Belle, who supported her throughout her illness.
There will be no visitation or funeral services at this time due to the Covid-19 restrictions. The family will have a celebration of life at a future date.
In memory of Ann, donations made be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital in Halifax or the Kidney Foundation.
