DEVEAU, Alzora Marie – Age 70 of St. Alphonse, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Belliveau Cove, on August 28, 1950 to the late Elmer and Marie Rose (Gaudet) Soucie.
For 23 years, she worked as a Teacher’s Aid for the CSAP in various schools in the Clare area. Making crafts, quilts, crocheting and needlepoint were her hobbies. She was a member of La Guilde Acadienne de Clare. Cooking and baking, she enjoyed and was always willing to try new recipes. In summer she enjoyed camping and going in the pedal boat.
Alzora is survived by husband, Carl; sons, Arlin (Yvette), Yvon; brothers, Hubert, Laval QC; Maurice, Belliveau Cove; grandchildren, Léane, Félix, Éloi.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, a private funeral mass will be held at a later date in St. Alphonse Church, St. Alphonse, with burial to follow in parish cemetery.
