The family is sad to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of their (Son, Husband, Brother, Dad, Ol’ Poppa, Son-in-Law, Brother-in-Law, Uncle and Great Uncle) on Thursday November 5th, 2020 at the age of 64
Allan, beloved Husband and Best Friend of Cathy (Slagter) for 33 years, Father of Melissa (Steve), Proud Ol’ Poppa of Eric, Kira, Alexa and Bubba. Son of Ronald and Leona (deceased), Brother of Johnny, Rhonda (Tony), Son-in-Law of Jerry and Alida, Brother-in-Law of Brenda (Marcus), Kevin (Tamara).Uncle of Eric, Michael, Kristina (Paul), Amanda (Michael), Amanda (Kyle), Caelan, Kaitlyn and Kaycie. Great Uncle of Avery, Addison and Baby “T”. Allan had many friends and thought of them all as family. Allan loved his 2 puppies Brady and Tehya, who are waiting for his footsteps every moment. Allan was an amazing athlete, during his younger years he excelled at every sport and his Midget “A” 1972-73 hockey team was inducted into the Clarington Sports Hall of Fame. Allan loved to play golf every chance he could. Allan loved his football Sundays, Loved to talk sports with everyone. Allan put his whole heart and soul into everything he did. He is truly missed by everyone he has touched in his lifetime. The Family would like to Thank the Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for being there with Allan. Thank you to everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. Visitation will be held at the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 1 – 3 p.m. Please call the funeral home at 905-623-5480 to book a time of attendance. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private service will follow the visitation at 3 p.m. If you wish to view the service you may login to the Morris Funeral Chapel Facebook page just prior to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
