Obituary
Lida passed away peacefully at home following a lengthy illness. Born in Baarn, Holland she immigrated to Canada with her family in 1959. She grew up in Watrous where her parents owned the Watrous Bakery. Lida lived and worked in several Saskatchewan communities, most recently in Saskatoon.
She was predeceased by her parents, Dick & Alma Van Schaffelaar. Lida is survived by her partner of 20 years, Kim Steinsvoll, her children Sheldon Jantz, Cora (Doug) Burkitt, Allison (Curtis) Serron, five grandchildren, sister Wilma (Burt) Hunt, two nieces and one nephew.
There will be no service at Lida’s request. The family will gather at a later date to celebrate her life.
