Obituary
SMIT, Albertus “Bert” – Passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital in London on Monday December 7th, 2020. Loving husband of Beverly Ann Miller. Beloved father of Nathan and Jenelle (Adam), and stepfather to Rebecca (Dean), and Jenn (Jake). Cherished brother to Harry (Gwen), John (late Jann), Tineke (Doug), and Jack (Debra). Dear uncle of Tineke, Andrew, Stephen, Mark, Adam, Brandon, and Kiana. Adoring grandfather to Everleigh, Matthew, David, Avery, and Ethan. Predeceased by his parents Tinus (2003) and Alice (2019) Smit. Friends and family are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock (519-539-0004) for a time of visitation on Saturday, December 19th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, with a service to follow in the Chapel. Due to Covid restrictions, it is mandatory to RSVP through the funeral home website. Following the service, Bert will be laid to rest at the Hillview Cemetery in Woodstock. If desired, memorial contributions to the Victoria Hospital Critical Care and Trauma Center would be appreciated and may be made through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Victoria Hospital for their care and support of Bert and family.
