Obituary for Alan Lew
June 30, 1968 – September 2, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Lew on September 2, 2020. Alan spent his early years happily growing up in the vibrant and eclectic Riley Park neighbourhood. He was the son of Ching Noey Lew and Tang Kwan Shun Lew, both proud Canadian immigrants from China. He went to David Livingston Elementary School and Sir Charles Tupper Secondary School. After completing his early education, he studied automotive mechanics at the Vancouver Vocational Institute. Alan worked at Dunlevy Food Equipment in many roles from warehouse to front office.
Alan was fearless in his youth. He enjoyed skateboarding and biking. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his friends in Squamish and on Pender Island. He was also an avid photographer.
Alan was a dedicated son and good brother. Alan is survived by his brothers Henry and Harry, and sisters Susan and Barbara.
A burial service will be held on October 2, 2020 at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
