1954-2020
Ada Jean “Jeannie” (Mailman) Streeter
– age 66, of White Rock, Kings County, passed away on Monday, March
30, 2020 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville
on February 9, 1954 she was a daughter of the late Charles
“Claude” and Mary “Mimmie” (Dominey) Mailman.
Jeannie attended school in Cambridge and graduated high school through
Adult Educators. She later graduated from culinary classes at the
Kings Regional Vocational School. She worked as a grader for Blueberry
Acres and Noggins Corner Farms, as a custodian for Acadia University
and The Old Orchard Inn and retired from Kitnuna Trade Services as an
office manager. She is survived by her husband, Henry Streeter;
children, Howard (Heidi) O’Brien of Kentville and Rowena
(Steven) Walsh of Round Hill; siblings, Wayne (Debbie) Mailman of
Aylesford; Bertha (Gilbert) Dominey of Coldbrook; Elsie (Jim) Sherrard
of Berwick; Margaret (Cecil) Bond of Kentville and Mary Bond (Roger
McCameron) of Waterville; grandchildren, Tyler O’Hanley,
Nathan Walsh, Jasmyn Walsh, Kristopher O’Brien and Brooke
O’Brien; two great-grandsons, Brody and Charlie. In addition
to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, William, Harris,
Charlie, Harlan “Tiny” and Arthur; sister, Evelyn, in
infancy. Cremation has taken place. There
will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at
a later date, to be announced, in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville. Burial will take place at a later date in the Lakeview
Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. Donations in memory of Jeannie may
be made to Diabetes Canada (NS), the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NS
or the Parkinson Canada – Atlantic Office. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville
