Passed peacefully away in his 93rd year at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on October 31, 2020.
Leaving to mourn his wife of 70 years, Verna (Barbour); son Gary (Francie); daughter Glenda (Derek Galway); cherished grandchildren Nancy and Andrew; sister Marion (Homer Stewart, deceased); brothers Bill (Jean, deceased) and Ray (Joan); sisters-in-law Marina (Edgar David Adams, deceased) and Joan Barbour; his nieces and nephews, some of whom considered him to be their second Dad.
Predeceased by brothers Herb (Bea) and Carl (Rowena); brother-in-law Wilfred Barbour.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will take place from St. James United Church on Wednesday, November 4th at 2:00PM with interment to follow. If you would like to attend the funeral service, please call 700-6064 to register. The service will be recorded for those unable to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bridges to Hope or the SPCA of St. John’s.
