Brenda Lee Cairns
Brenda Lee Cairns, beloved wife of Ron, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the age of 63 years, with her loving family by her side.
She was born Brenda Lee Wolch on March 11, 1957, in North Battleford, SK. She moved from North Battleford with her family to Vancouver, BC, Kindersley, SK Atikokan, ON, and Saskatoon, SK, to name a few. Fond memories were made of summers spent at her grandparents’ cabin at Emma Lake with her siblings. Brenda attended High School in Saskatoon, SK, and then onto the University of Saskatchewan.
Brenda always had a quick smile and a kind word for everyone. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, cross-stich, sewing, and photography.
She will be sadly missed by her husband and love of her life, Ron Cairns; son Dallas (Terra) and grandchildren: Allorra and Calin; son Shane (Ashley) and grandchildren: Blake and Anna; and daughter Brandy (Chris) and grandchildren: Aaron, Aidan, Cameron, Kaeleb, and Olivia. She is also survived by her mother Louise Wolch; siblings: Dale, Jack, Gary, and Judy and their spouses and families.
Brenda was predeceased by her father Rae and brother Jerry.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 2:30pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Service in Grande Prairie, AB (10404 102 St.). Interment will be held in Harris, SK.
Memorial donations in Brenda’s memory may be made to Grande Prairie Palliative Care Society (#204, 10134 97 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 7X6).
