Memorial Donation
It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Mathilde Wiesner, of Lee Valley, Ontario, recently living at Walford on the Park, Cooper Cliff, Ontario. October 11th, 2020. Predeceased by her husband Josef, dearly beloved mother of Veronika (Donald), Beatrice (Bill), Doris (Mike), Chris (Karen), and predeceased by daughter Marianne. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by 6 granddaughters Heather, Jessica, Allyson, Kimberly, Abbie, Angela and 3 grandsons, Craig(Suzie), Derek(Allyson), Alexander as well as 2 great-granddaughters (Larissa, Willow) and 3 great-grandsons (Owen, Finn, Ben), along with extended family and friends.
A very special thanks to the Maison Hospice Staff and Claire Warren NP, as well all the wonderful and thoughtful staff of Walford on the Park, CBI, and Bayshore Nursing.
“Tilly”, as she was known by many; loved her large vegetable garden. She was most alive among her dill, cucumber, beets, and beans and loved sharing that with her many visitors. She always had lots of stories and food to share with everyone who visited her, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her incredible 100 year journey brought her from Europe through many world events, settling in her Lee Valley home, a place she was always eager to return to.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Covid Restrictions are 15 people at a time to say goodbye at the funeral home.
Visitation will be 9am to 11am at Bourcier Funeral Home Espanola Ontario on Saturday October 17th, 2020. Interment and service at Lee Valley Cemetery at approximately 11:45. Arrangements by BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME Ltd, Espanola
