Bénard, Monique Agnès (née de Margerie)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother & great-grandmother Monique, April 30, 2020, at the age of 83. She was born on December 12, 1936 in Vonda, SK to Antonio and Agnès de Margerie where she met her late husband René Bénard. They were married in Vonda in 1957 & for many years lived in St. Denis and Saskatoon raising a family of 7 children. Monique loved singing in church choirs; deepening her faith and especially enjoyed visiting family and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband René of 60 years, her parents Antonio and Agnès, her sister Thérèse and brothers Guy, Paul, Benoit and Yves. She is survived by her children Micheline (Jean Duperreault), Marc, Lise, Jean (Anna Maria Lazzarotto), Collette (Benoit-Couture), Mario, and Nathalie (Eric Sampson), her 18 grandchildren and her 3 great-grandchildren, her brothers Bernard and Jean (Thérèse Brochu) and her sister Jacynthe (Ronald Rivard). A Private Funeral Service will be held at St. Denis Parish at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2020 and will be live-streamed. Link: youtu.be/zbK-tTNPi1g. In lieu of flowers please have masses celebrated for the repose of Monique`s soul or make donations to the Catholic Church in Need Canada (acn-canada.org/).
